The full seven-piece replacement foam set for the Peli 1607 Air case, Peli’s own part 016070-4000-000, catalogued as the 1607AirFS. Three layers of pre-scored Pick N Pluck base foam give 200 mm of depth to tear a bespoke cavity for your kit in a few minutes without a knife or a CNC quote, while the convoluted lid foam holds everything down against the closed lid. Two side filler strips take up the gaps beside the trolley handle recess. The correct replacement when the original foam in a working case has compressed, absorbed moisture, or been plucked for a job you no longer run, and the set to buy if you took the 1607 Air empty and now want foam in it.

Foam is not covered by the case guaranteePeli’s Limited Lifetime Guarantee applies to the case itself, it expressly excludes contents and foam. Foam is a wear item; plan on replacing it periodically in hire stock and heavy touring use.
Plucking guidancePeli recommend leaving at least 25 mm of foam between your equipment and the case wall. Lay the kit on the foam, mark the outline, and pluck one square at a time: you cannot put the squares back. Use the solid base pad under the plucked layers so heavy items never sit directly on the case floor.
