The XA-8P is a palm-sized 8K HDMI generator and analyser for commissioning and fault-finding HDMI 2.1 systems. In generator mode it outputs 40 resolutions up to 8K with 20 test patterns, and in analyser mode it reports source video, audio, timing and packet data, with HDCP and SCDC monitoring. EDID tools cover 12 built-in and 10 user-definable EDIDs, and the unit runs from a lithium-ion battery or USB-C power.
