The AU-11PRO extracts, inserts and converts audio within a 4K HDMI signal path. Audio can be taken from the HDMI input, from ARC on HDMI output 1, from the optical input or from the 3.5mm analogue input, then sent to the HDMI, optical and analogue outputs simultaneously. Video passes through at up to 4K60 4:4:4 with HDR, which makes it a practical way to feed powered speakers or an older AV receiver from current sources.
