About Communications Headset Accessories

Spare and replacement parts for production comms, currently the Audio Technica BPCB2 replacement cable for BPHS2 broadcast headsets. It is a 3 metre lead terminating in a TA6F connector at the headset end and splitting to a 3-pin male XLR for the microphone signal and a 6.35mm jack for the headphone feed, and it fits every model in the detachable-cable BPHS2 series.

Headset cables lead a hard life on comms positions, rolled over by flightcases, trodden on and yanked at load-out, so a spare in the workbox is cheaper than a dead headset mid-show. Confirm the exact headset model before ordering, as the BPCB2 is specific to the BPHS2 family. If the headset itself has failed rather than the cable, the main Headsets category next door covers single and dual-sided intercom and broadcast alternatives.
Comms Spare FAQs
What does the BPCB2 replace? The BPHS2 headset’s cable, 3 m, TA6F at the headset, splitting to male XLR (mic) and jack (headphones). Cables die before headsets; the spare halves the fleet cost of failure.
Generic cable instead? The TA6F wiring is model-specific, genuine spares or soldering, nothing between.
