About Hollyland Wireless Video Transmission
Wireless video links send a live camera feed to a monitor, vision mixer or director without a cable across the floor. They are used for events, live streaming, broadcast and film work, wherever a camera needs to move freely or a cable run is impractical.
All the systems here are Hollyland 4K. The Pyro H is an HDMI wireless video transmission system, the Pyro S handles HDMI/SDI, and the Mars 4K also covers HDMI/SDI. The Pyro units are also sold separately: the Pyro H-TX and Pyro H-RX for HDMI, and the Pyro S-TX and Pyro S-RX for HDMI/SDI, for building up a system or replacing a unit.
Choose by connection first. HDMI suits mirrorless and consumer cameras and most monitors, while SDI uses locking BNC connectors and is the norm on broadcast cameras and longer cable runs at the receive end. Then think about how many viewing points you need and whether existing Pyro kit can be extended with standalone transmitters or receivers from the same series. Range depends heavily on line of sight and the venue, so test before the show. The HDMI vs SDI for Live Events guide covers the signal side in more depth.
