The 071 is the matching contactor for the Formula Sound Sentry limiters: it is the part that actually disconnects the mains when the Sentry trips. The Sentry holds the contactor closed with a low-voltage signal over a simple 2-core link; when the room goes over the limit for too long, the signal drops, the contactor opens and the ring feeding the amplifiers and music equipment goes dead until the Sentry is reset. It is a single-pole, normally-open, fully fused unit in its own enclosure, ready for an electrician to wire into the sound system's supply.

Electrician installationThe 071 switches mains and must be installed by a qualified electrician to BS 7671, indoors, fixed to a wall or board (not free-standing). No mains is connected to the low-voltage interface board. It is for single-phase supplies; for two separate rings use the 071D dual contactor, and for larger loads the 071 can switch a further contactor.
Features
Matching contactor for the Sentry MK2 (073) and Sentry Lite (152)
32A rating, fully fused with a 10 x 38 mm HRC gG fuse
Single-pole normally-open: fails safe, power off when the Sentry trips
Low-voltage interface board, polarity not critical, bell wire is fine
20 mm conduit knockouts plus grommeted holes for the control cable
Four base fixing holes with fixing template supplied
Lower fuse ratings can be fitted to suit the circuit
