The Lab Gruppen CMA1201 is a 120 W single-channel commercial mixer amplifier that switches between Lo-Z (4/8 Ω) and Hi-Z (70/100 V) operation, so one half-rack unit covers both conventional loudspeaker pairs and distributed constant-voltage lines. Four mic/line inputs with individual level controls, configurable priority ducking and GPI remote volume make it a straightforward head end for background music and paging in bars, restaurants, retail and hotel spaces. Convection cooling means no fan noise, and joining brackets allow rack, table or wall mounting.

100 V line operationIn 70 V or 100 V mode the CMA1201 drives distributed loudspeaker lines: multiple tapped ceiling or wall speakers wired in parallel on a single run, the standard approach for background music and paging across larger or multi-room spaces. Minimum load impedance is 41 Ω in 70 V mode and 82 Ω in 100 V mode, so keep the total tap wattage on the line within the amplifier’s 120 W rating.
