The Lab Gruppen E4:2 is a two-channel, 400 W install amplifier delivering 2 × 200 W from a 4.2 kg, 1U chassis, designed and engineered in Sweden for commercial background music and paging systems. Each channel switches between 70 V constant-voltage lines and Lo-Z loads down to 2 Ω, with asymmetric loading across the pair, so a distributed ceiling run and a low-impedance pair can share one amplifier. Energy Star certification, sub-1 W standby and the IDEEA Class-D stage keep power bills and rack heat down.
2 × 200 W
Output power
2 Ω
Minimum load
70 V
Hi-Z mode
<1 W
Standby draw
RSL mode and 8/16 Ω loadsThe per-channel RSL switch sets the limiter for Lo-Z or 70 V operation, and it affects available power: an 8 Ω load gets the full 200 W only in 70 V mode (Lo-Z gives 100 W), and a 16 Ω load gets 200 W in 70 V mode (Lo-Z gives 50 W). The amplifier can also deliver 200 W to a 100 V line tapped at 400 W. Match the switch to the connected load during commissioning.
