Why Use an Inline Preamp?Dynamic and ribbon microphones often have low output levels that push budget preamps and interfaces into their noisy upper gain ranges. The DM2 adds clean gain before the preamp stage, keeping your signal well above the noise floor. Its eight switchable load settings, from 50 ohms to 10 megohms, let you match the input load the DM2 presents to your particular mic.
