Evolution Wireless Digital (EW-D) is Sennheiser’s entry digital UHF platform, using a 15 MHz tuning range (1785 to 1800 MHz), equidistant frequency grid and 134 dB transmitter dynamic range for gain-structure-free operation. The Smart Assist app handles setup over Bluetooth Low Energy. This is the handheld transmitter on its own, intended to add a channel to an existing EW-D system or replace a lost unit. Band variant: Y1-3, 1785 – 1800 MHz. Partly licence-exempt in the UK: 1795-1800 MHz is exempt, 1785-1795 MHz requires the Ofcom Shared PMSE licence.
