About this Product

Cardioid condenser clip-on microphone designed for sax, toms, brass and percussion. It handles high SPL, 145 dB at 1% THD, which is what lets it sit inside a horn bell or on a tom rim without collapsing, and the extended response still picks up the quieter detail of a performance. The supplied AT8418 UniMount clip sets position accurately and isolates the element from shock, while the cardioid pattern rejects the rest of the stage arriving from the sides and rear.

Three versions exist. This is the wired onePRO35 is the wired model: it terminates on TA3F and runs through the supplied AT8538 phantom power module to a 3-pin XLR. If you need it on an Audio-Technica body-pack transmitter instead, order the PRO35cH (screw-down 4-pin, cH-style) or PRO35cW (locking 4-pin, cW-style): the cable is permanently attached, so the connector cannot be changed later.
Phantom power is requiredThe AT8538 module needs 11–52V DC phantom from your desk or preamp. The 80 Hz high-pass filter and the flat/roll-off switch live on that module, not on the microphone.
