The Audio-Technica AT4053B is a modular hypercardioid condenser microphone from the AT40 Series, built for professional recording, broadcast and sound reinforcement. Its hypercardioid polar pattern reduces pickup from the sides and rear, delivering superior isolation of the desired sound source. The modular design comprises the AT4900b-48 electronic body and AT4053b-EL hypercardioid head capsule (both available separately), with interchangeable omnidirectional (AT4049b-EL) and cardioid (AT4051b-EL) capsules also available. Transformerless circuitry and direct-coupled balanced output ensure a clean, low-distortion signal path.
