A ribbon microphone with the fragility of the classics engineered out. The KSM313/NE uses Shure’s Roswellite ribbon material, which recovers its shape rather than stretching or tearing, so the microphone survives handling and SPL that would end a vintage ribbon. It is bidirectional with two genuinely different voicings – the front side warm and full, the rear side brighter and more open – so the pattern is a tonal choice, not just a rejection pattern.
