The Neumann MCM 114 Set for High Strings is a complete miniature clip-mic system built around the KK 14 omnidirectional electret capsule, supplied with a body clip designed for violin, viola, mandolin and similar instruments. Designed for live reinforcement and broadcast capture, it gives string players a Neumann-grade close mic that travels with the instrument rather than fighting bow movement from a stand.
The MCM platform separates capsule, gooseneck, output stage and mounting clip. Replace any single component without binning the whole mic; swap clips when you change instrument; share KK 14 capsules across multiple kits.
This is the high-strings MCM 114 configuration. For cello or double bass (bridge clips), guitar (body clip), woodwind, percussion or piano use the appropriate MCM 114 set instead.
