Rigging clamps, safety wires, couplers and fixture accessories that put lights in the air and keep them there, drawn from Equinox, ADJ, LEDJ, Avolites, Chauvet DJ and City Theatrical. The range runs from aluminium easy clamps and O-clamps to safety bonds, starcloth spare LEDs, remote controllers and console desk lights.

The two sub-categories carry the decisions that matter. In Clamps & Couplers, match the clamp to the tube first, with the 48 to 51mm sizes covering standard truss and scaffold tube, then check the manufacturer’s rated capacity against the weight of the fixture with a sensible margin. Compact options such as the Mini O-Clamp suit smaller fixtures on lightweight bars, and hook clamps, half couplers and swivel couplers each solve a different mounting geometry.

In Safety Wire, the bond is the fixture’s independent backup and it is not optional on anything overhead. Ratings here run from 20kg to 50kg in lengths from 30cm upwards, in plain, PVC-coated and stainless versions. Two practical points: keep the wire short enough that a failure cannot let the fixture develop a long drop, and attach it to a structural point on the fixture body rather than to a handle, yoke bolt or anything designed to be removed.

The rest of the section covers what keeps a rig serviceable rather than airborne. Starcloth LED packs and controllers keep cloths working mid-tour, infrared and wireless remotes cover fixtures that are addressed by handset, and Avolites desk lights and dongles cover the console position.

Order clamps and safeties with the fixtures rather than afterwards. Every flown light needs both, quantities are easy to underestimate across a rig, and the ones that go missing between jobs are always discovered on the ladder.
