The Audio-Technica BP4027 is a 380 mm stereo shotgun microphone using an MS (Mid-Side) arrangement with independent line-cardioid and figure-of-eight elements. Based on models originally developed for the Sydney 2000 Games broadcast, it offers switch-selectable internal matrixing for wide or narrow stereo output, or discrete M/S signals for post-production manipulation.
