The Biamp Desono DX-IC6 is a high-efficiency two-way ceiling speaker for paging and music in installations where sonic quality matters. A genuine coaxial design with separate magnets for the 6.5 inch LF driver and 1 inch exit compression driver keeps distortion low, while 94 dB sensitivity delivers 3 to 6 dB more output from half the amplifier power of comparable products. It runs passive at 8 ohms or on 70V/100V lines via the built-in autoformer, and SpringLock mounting clamps make for a fast, tool-light install with uniform 115-degree conical coverage.

Installation notesA 65 Hz electronic high-pass filter is a required accessory for this speaker. The DX-IC6 is ETL listed to UL1480, UL2043 and CSA62368-1, and its conduit knock-outs on the input cover mean it is suitable for use in air handling (plenum) spaces per NFPA 70 and NFPA 90.
