Evolution Wireless Digital (EW-D) is Sennheiser’s entry digital UHF platform, using a 56 MHz tuning range, equidistant frequency grid and 134 dB transmitter dynamic range for gain-structure-free operation. The Smart Assist app handles setup over Bluetooth Low Energy. This is the handheld transmitter on its own, intended as a spare or replacement transmitter for an existing EW-D EM receiver; a new channel also needs its own receiver. Band variant: S1-7, 606.2 – 662 MHz (includes UK CH38; above 614 MHz needs a coordinated licence). Requires an Ofcom shared PMSE licence in the UK.
