About this Product

A networkable solid-state recorder and player for broadcast studios and fixed installations, recording WAV and MP3 to SD/SDHC/SDXC and USB flash. Its defining feature is the network side: it can upload finished recordings to an FTP server automatically or pull files down for playback, and sync its clock over SNTP. Dual SD slots give either mirrored backup recording or automatic overflow to the second card.

Built for recordings you cannot loseTwo mechanisms protect the job: the second SD card either mirrors the recording as a live backup or takes over when the first card fills, and the unit closes files automatically if power is lost mid-recording rather than leaving an unreadable file. For statutory logging, council meetings or broadcast capture, this is the reason the SS-R250N gets specified over a general-purpose recorder.
