The Audio-Technica AT4033A is a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone that has been a professional studio staple since 1991. Its transformerless circuitry virtually eliminates low-frequency distortion and provides excellent transient response, while the 2-micron vapour-deposited gold diaphragm undergoes a five-step ageing process for long-term stability. With low noise (17 dB SPL), high sensitivity and tolerance for sound pressure levels up to 145 dB (155 dB with the 10 dB pad), the AT4033A excels on vocals, acoustic instruments and a wide range of studio sources. Supplied with AT8449a shock mount.
