About this Product

The Ampetronic C5-1 is a stand-alone, single-output perimeter hearing loop driver delivering 5 A RMS of loop current from a 1U rack unit. Setup is through a digital front panel with built-in test tones and adjustable metal loss correction. Typical uses are meeting rooms, classrooms, places of worship, council chambers and small auditoriums that need a perimeter loop meeting BS EN 60118-4.

Stand-alone modelThe C5-1 has no network port. Remote monitoring, email fault alerts, the priority input and the custom dual-slope MLC are only on the networked C5-1N.
Metal loss correctionMLC corrects the frequency response tilt caused by metal in the building. It does not make up the overall signal loss, which can be large, so loops in steel-framed buildings still need a proper design.
