About this Product

The Lab Gruppen E8:2 delivers 2 × 400 W from a 4.2 kg, 1U chassis, sitting in the middle of the two-channel E Series for commercial install work. Each channel switches between Lo-Z loads down to 2 Ω and 70 V constant-voltage lines, and asymmetric loading lets one channel feed a distributed ceiling run while the other drives a low-impedance pair or sub. The IDEEA Class-D stage, Energy Star certification and sub-1 W standby keep mains draw, heat and lifetime running costs low.

RSL mode and 8/16 Ω loadsThe per-channel RSL switch sets the limiter for Lo-Z or 70 V operation, and it affects available power: an 8 Ω load gets the full 400 W only in 70 V mode (Lo-Z gives 200 W), and a 16 Ω load gets 290 W in 70 V mode (Lo-Z gives 100 W). The amplifier can also deliver 400 W to a 100 V line tapped at 800 W. Match the switch to the connected load during commissioning.
