    The Shure BETA87A is a supercardioid handheld condenser for lead vocals, the tighter pattern for loud stages and hot monitor wedges. Studio-grade condenser detail in a stage mic: dent-resistant steel grille, enamel-coated metal body, built-in wind and pop filtering, and the smooth top end that made the BETA 87 the standard premium vocal upgrade from a dynamic.
