    The Shure BETA87C is a cardioid handheld condenser for lead vocals, the wider pattern favoured with in-ear monitoring, where uniform off-axis response matters more than maximum rejection. Studio-grade condenser detail in a stage mic: dent-resistant steel grille, enamel-coated metal body, built-in wind and pop filtering, and the smooth top end that made the BETA 87 the standard premium vocal upgrade from a dynamic.
