About Socapex Connectors: 19 Pin & 7 Pin
Nineteen-pin multipin connectors for lighting power multicore: the Elumen8 Socapex range covers line plugs and sockets with entries sized for 1.5mm² and 2.5mm² six-circuit cable, panel-mount sockets, numbered-contact versions and coloured coupling rings for run identification.
The 19-pin format carries six circuits down a single multicore, which is why it remains the standard way to feed dimmed and switched lighting bars. Match the connector to the cable first: the entry and clamp sizes here are specified for particular core sizes and outside diameters, and a multicore clamped at the wrong size will work loose on the road. Numbered contacts speed up fault-finding and make consistent wiring easier across a stock of multicores. The coloured coupling rings look like an afterthought but are genuinely useful, letting crews identify individual runs on a loaded truss at a glance. Panel sockets suit distro builds and dimmer patch panels.
The Socapex breakout boxes that turn these runs back into 16A outlets are in the power distribution category.
Socapex Connectors FAQs
What does Socapex carry? Six circuits down one 19-pin multicore, the standard way to feed dimmed and switched lighting bars. The format, wiring and break-in/break-out ecosystem are covered in Socapex explained.
1.5mm² or 2.5mm² entries? Match the connector’s cable entry to the multicore you are terminating, and numbered contacts plus coloured coupling rings keep multi-run systems identifiable at both ends.
