New from CYP, Equinox, Electro-Voice and Dri Box

Over the weekend we added 153 products to the site. Most of them are from CYP, but there’s new Electro-Voice, a batch of Equinox lighting and effects, and a small but useful range from Dri Box. Here’s what’s worth a look.

CYP: video distribution for installers

CYP makes the boxes that get a picture from one place to another reliably: switchers, matrices, extenders, AV over IP and the cables in between. We’ve listed 101 of them, and this is the bulk of the update.

If you only need to get HDMI down a single Cat cable, start with the PU-101PL-KIT, which does 70m for £169. The PUV-1510-KIT takes 4K to 100m and carries LAN as well.

For rooms with several sources and screens, there are matrices from a 4×4 at £595 up to the 10×10 PUV-1082-PRO with its own audio matrix. Meeting rooms are covered by presentation switchers with built-in amplifiers, like the EL-8400VA, and by the Hyshare Pro wireless presentation kit.

Bigger jobs can go onto the network with the IP-9000 series (transmitter and receiver) or the 10G SDVoE range. There are Dante interfaces in the range too, the AU-DTI4-TX and matching receiver at £256 each.

Two we’d put in any installer’s van: the XA-3P HDMI analyser and cable tester, and the certified 8K HDMI cables, which start at £18. Browse everything on the CYP brand page.

Electro-Voice

Twenty new EV lines, covering both live and install work. The one we expect to be asked about most is the EVOLVE 50M, a column system with an eight channel mixer in the sub, at £1,799. For more traditional PA there’s the ELX200-12P with the ELX200-18S underneath, and the PXM-12MP coaxial wedge.

On the install side there are EVID subs, ZX1i speakers, and the LRC-1100 and LRC-1060 EN54 columns for voice alarm systems.

Equinox

Mostly effects and consumables in this batch: handheld confetti cannons from £6.50, electric streamer cannons, 1kg bags of loose confetti for refilling machines, and snow and foam fluid. On the lighting side, the Quad Blox XL is a four zone RGBWW wash at £240.

Dri Box

Dri Box makes IP55 enclosures that keep a plug and socket connection dry when an extension lead has to run outside. It’s a simple idea, and one less thing to worry about when the weather turns at an outdoor event. They come in three sizes, from the small at £12 to the large at £20, in black or green.

All prices include VAT. If you’re specifying CYP or EV for a project, send us the schedule and we’ll price the whole job.
