Choosing an amplifier starts with the loudspeakers, not the wattage. NEXO’s NXAMP units are amplifier and system controller in one, loaded with presets for NEXO cabinets, and are the intended way to drive that catalogue. Martin Audio’s iKon amplifiers perform the same role for Wavefront Precision line arrays, where amplifier channel count sets the optimisation resolution. Linea Research units are the flexible choice across brands, with four and eight channel models at several power classes and full DSP on every output. Think in channels per rack unit for touring racks, check mains provision against total power, and confirm whether you need Dante, AES or analogue inputs before specifying. Under-powering a system and running it into limit all night does more damage than sensible headroom ever will.
