About LED Dance Floors

LED starlit dance floors and display flooring, sold as individual panels so a floor can be built to the size the room and the budget allow. LEDJ black and white starlit panels come in 2ft x 2ft and 2ft x 4ft, in three and four sided versions for edges and interiors, with edge trim, corner sections, power supplies, remote packs and a transport trolley to complete the system.

Work out the panel count before anything else. A 12ft x 12ft floor is 36 panels of 2ft x 2ft, and the difference between a three sided and four sided panel matters: the sided count is how many edges carry linking connectors, so four-sided panels interlock on all sides for the middle of a floor while three-sided panels are made for the perimeter. Budget for edge trim on every exposed edge, both because it finishes the look and because it is what stops guests catching a panel lip.

How many panels do I need for a dance floor?

Multiply the floor area by the panel size. Using 2ft x 2ft panels, a 12ft x 12ft floor needs 36, a 16ft x 16ft floor needs 64. Order edge trim for the perimeter separately, and allow a spare panel or two for a touring set.

What power supply does a starlit floor need?

That depends on panel count. The 500W, 750W and 1000W supplies in this range cover progressively larger floors, so size the supply to the finished floor rather than to the panels you start with.

Can the floor be transported easily?

Yes, with the dedicated trolley. Panels are heavy in quantity and a floor is the last thing loaded and the first thing out, so a trolley pays for itself quickly on mobile work.
