Compact dimming and switching hardware from Transcension. The single-channel UP2 PRO and UP2 TRUEDIM are trailing-edge, convection-cooled DMX/HTP dimmer packs with built-in W-DMX wireless receivers, a remote fader and a 10A resistive rating, and both can be configured as switch packs; the TRUEDIM adds parallel-wired TRUE1 TOP and 16A Ceeform outlets. The four-channel Multi Pack gives 5A per channel across eight IEC outlets, with a dummy-load circuit that stops low-power LED fixtures flickering when switched. The PC 08 is a 19-inch rack panel with eight illuminated rocker switches feeding eight IEC outlets for clean on/off control of effects.

The core decision remains dimming versus switching: tungsten loads dim happily on trailing-edge channels, while LED fixtures, smoke machines and effects with electronic power supplies want clean switched mains, so keep dimmed and switched circuits clearly labelled.
