About Splitters & Converters

Rack-format DMX distribution for install racks and touring distros. The ChamSys GeNetix GD10 is a 1U RDM-compliant splitter: two 5-pin inputs feed ten opto-isolated outputs, switchable between 1×10 and 2×5 distribution, with an RDM disable button that strips RDM traffic and retimes the DMX where legacy fixtures misbehave. The Chauvet Professional Net-X II adds protocol conversion, taking Art-Net or sACN in over etherCON and outputting up to eight isolated DMX universes, working in reverse to put console DMX onto the network, merging two sources HTP or LTP, and storing ten recordable DMX presets for remote triggering. Port count and isolation are the headline specs, but a network input gives a rig room to move to Ethernet transport later without re-buying distribution. For compact opto splits and mergers, see the DMX Signal Processing category.
