Surface-mount, ceiling and pendant loudspeakers for fixed installation, from 2.5 inch background music satellites to 12 inch passive cabinets. Format follows the ceiling and the coverage. Ceiling and pendant speakers spread sound evenly across open-plan areas and are the default for retail, hospitality and offices. Surface-mount cabinets suit zones that need direction and more output, such as a bar with a live corner or a function room. Pendants solve exposed-soffit and high-ceiling rooms where there is no void to cut into and a surface cabinet would look wrong.

Two specifications decide most of the shortlist. First, 100V line against low impedance, which should be settled per zone before you look at models: many lines offer both, with a T or TX suffix marking the transformer variant, as on the MASK6CT and the Cuboid TX models. Second, the IP rating, which matters more than people expect. Covered outdoor areas, smoking shelters and wet rooms need a rated unit such as the MASK6CT at IP64, and a standard ceiling speaker put outside will fail, usually in its first winter.

Mounting is part of the speaker choice rather than an afterthought. Clickmount and bracket systems change install time dramatically once you are fitting dozens of units, and a tile-bridge or backcan requirement can affect what the ceiling contractor needs to leave you. Check the cut-out diameter and the depth above the tile before ordering, because a speaker that fits the hole but not the void is a return.

Count coverage from ceiling height and the listening plane rather than from floor area alone, then work out tapped wattage per zone before choosing amplification. Subwoofers to underpin these, amplifiers to drive them and grilles and mounting accessories to finish the job each have their own sub-category.
