About UV Lights
Ultraviolet fixtures make fluorescent paint, costumes, set pieces and signage glow, and this section covers LED UV from LEDJ and ADJ: the UV Spectra Batten, 150W UV COB Flood and 200W COB UV Par from LEDJ, and ADJ’s UV COB Cannon, ECO UV Bar DMX and the outdoor-rated UV PAR 100IP.
Coverage pattern is the main choice. COB floods and the Cannon push a broad, powerful wash for saturating a whole dancefloor, stage or UV party space, while battens and bars work close up, washing walls, backdrops and murals evenly from a short distance. Remember that UV only reads on fluorescent material, so the effect is exactly as good as the paint, fabric or props it lands on, and ambient white light washes it out quickly, meaning darker rooms give far stronger results. For exteriors and temporary outdoor work the UV PAR 100IP is the one built for weather, and DMX control on units like the ECO UV Bar lets UV scenes sit inside a normal lighting plot rather than running from a wall switch.
Advice on pairing UV with strobes, pinspots and effects from the wider lighting range is part of the service.
UV Light FAQs
Batten, flood or cannon? Coverage pattern decides: battens wash walls and cycs evenly, COB floods and pars throw wide pools, cannons reach across big rooms. The 100IP unit covers outdoor UV duty.
Why LED UV over tube blacklights? Instant on, DMX control, real output, modern UV COBs make fluorescent paint and costumes glow across a venue, not just next to the fixture.
