About Laserworld Diode Series

Production-grade show lasers from Laserworld’s Diode Series, spanning the DS-3000RGB MK5 through the IP65-rated DS-15.000 and DS-30.000 units to the PL range of RGB show lasers, several of them available with a Pangolin FB4 interface factory-fitted.

Diode-based projectors are what serious production work runs on: solid-state sources with tight beams and full RGB colour mixing that hold up at the distances outdoor and large-venue shows demand. Two decisions shape the choice. First, output: the model numbers step up in power, and bigger numbers buy visibility over distance, in higher ambient light and across large audiences, but bring proportionally heavier safety obligations. Second, control: FB4 versions integrate Pangolin’s network interface inside the projector, so programming runs straight from Pangolin software over a network cable, while non-FB4 units suit rigs already standardised on external interfaces and ILDA runs. The IP65-rated DS units are built for outdoor deployment, festival and public display work where weather cannot be a variable.

High-power lasers in this class are professional tools with real audience-safety implications; risk assessment, competent operation and controlled beam paths are non-negotiable. Interfaces, ILDA extensions and the safety unit are in the neighbouring Laser Systems subcategories.

Diode Laser FAQs

Why diode-based projectors for production? Solid-state sources: instant on, stable output, long life, the DS series runs from 3 W club units to IP65 30 W outdoor power, several with Pangolin FB4 factory-fitted for network control.

What comes with high power legally? Real obligations, risk assessment, beam zoning, competent operation. Read the UK laser safety guide before specifying wattage.
