About Laser System Accessories And Cables

ILDA extension cables and safety hardware for laser rigs: Laserworld ILDA extensions in 0.5 m, 10 m and 20 m lengths plus the Laserworld Safety Unit for remote emergency stop. The cables are DB25 male to female with all 25 pins connected, screened construction and thumbscrew locking, so a 20 m and a 10 m chain cleanly where front of house sits a long way from the projector, while the 0.5 m link tidies interface-to-projector connections inside a rack.

The Safety Unit connects to a projector’s interlock interface, pairing a key switch with a large red stop button on a 5 m cable. Adapters for RJ45 and DB9 interlock types are included, and several projectors can be daisy-chained through interlock in and thru, which belongs in any serious laser risk assessment. Interfaces and playback software live in the neighbouring Laser Interfaces and Software category.

Laser Accessory FAQs

What do ILDA extensions need to be? Fully-pinned screened DB25, all 25 pins connected, which cheap serial leads are not. 0.5-20 m lengths run control from booth to projector.

Is the Safety Unit optional? Remote emergency stop is part of operating lasers responsibly, audience-scanned and high-power rigs should treat it as standard, per the laser safety guide.
